This crane sat out in the desert for several years and has some rust. I don't see anything bad enough to affect structural integrity. I am not sure who the original manufacturer was, but it looks to have been built very well.
I estimate the weight of the vertical structure to be around 1500 lbs. The bottom is much heavier than the top. The beam and collar part is probably somewhere around 1000 lbs.
Once assembled, the bottom of the horizontal beam would sit a bit over 13 feet from the ground. The beam extends just over 10 feet from the pivot point.
The bearings will need to be either rebuilt or replaced. I do not have a beam trolley or hoist for it.
It is being sold as is, where is. My tractor is only able to lift one end of the vertical piece at a time, and can only get the big end about a foot off the ground. You will either need to bring in some heavier equipment to lift it or be prepared to drag it onto a trailer.
Returning this hoist to service will take some work, but the price I am asking is only about 10-15% of what new ones are selling for.
It is located about 10 miles south of Alamogordo. The price is what is listed on this ad. I will reduce it if it doesn't sell in a reasonable amount of time.
